Priene

Priene is an Ionian (Ancient Greek) city established in Aydın Söke, approximately 100 km from Selçuk-Efese. The city is 10 km north of the Menderes river. When the city was founded, it was by the sea. Due to the alluvium of the meander, the city is now within kilometers of land.
