Temple of Artemis
The Temple of Artemis (Greek: Artemision; Latin: Artemisium) is also known as the Temple of Diana. The temple dedicated to the Goddess Artemis was completed in Ephesus in 550 BC. The temple was built entirely of marble. Today, only a few pieces of marble remain from the temple, which is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The ancient city of Selcuk in Turkey is located in Izmir.
